We’re a drain and sewer crew, and we’ve been working on Chicago-area pipes for more than twenty years. Most of our calls start the same way: a floor drain that gurgles, a sink that won’t clear, water showing up where it shouldn’t. We find out why, tell you what we found, and quote the price before anything starts.
Our work is mostly drains and sewers: rodding, hydro jetting, camera inspections, sump and ejector pumps, and the repairs that follow when a pipe has given up. We also fix toilets, faucets and other fixtures.
When you call, we ask what’s happening and when it started. At the property, we find the cleanout or the pump pit and see how water is moving. Then we tell you what we found and what it would cost, and nothing gets done until you say so. After the work, we run water through the line or cycle the pump to check that it did the job. If roots or damage look likely to bring the problem back, we say that too, and usually suggest a camera so you can see for yourself.
Chicago has a lot of older housing: brick bungalows, two-flats, greystones, many with a floor drain in the basement tied straight into the main sewer. Older homes often have clay tile or cast-iron sewer pipe, and the joints in that pipe are where tree roots find their way in. In much of the city, storm water and household waste share the same sewer, so a heavy storm can fill the main and push water back toward basements. Knowing how those systems behave helps us recommend something that lasts instead of a quick patch.
Homeowners and landlords call about backed-up lines, slow drains and pumps that quit. Restaurants and other businesses call for grease trap cleaning and kitchen-line problems, which we cover on the commercial plumbing page. We work across Chicago and nearby suburbs, and you’ll find the list on our service areas page.
Every job is a little different, so we price after we’ve seen the problem. The kind of job, how long and deep the line is, how easy it is to get to, and any parts or extras all change the number. You decide what to add, and you hear the price first. To talk it over, call (773) 588-1200 or request a quote. If you’re not sure what you need, our services page matches symptoms to fixes, and the FAQ covers what we get asked most.
Tell us what's backing up and when it started. We'll explain what to expect and when we can get there.
A slow drain is easier to deal with than a flooded basement. Call or send a message and we'll take it from there.
